Utah Aspen
The most extensive aspen forests I have ever seen are in the Dixie National Forest in Utah. Photographed in September 2005.

The Quaking aspen - each colony is its own CLONE, & all trees in the clone have identical characteristics and SHARE a root structure.
Beautiful picture! Like they say: "THE BEST FALL SHOW CAN'T BE FOUND ON TV!" Very pretty!

"I am in love with this world. I have nestled lovingly in it. I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings."   --John Burroughs
