Mt. Adams summit block [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Mt. Adams summit block
The summit block of Mt. Adams from the west ridge at about 13,700'. This is what passes for knife-edge ridge on this route. From here you must choose to scramble up the scree on the north side (left) or skirt to the south (right) and find the chimney weakness. July 16, 2006.

Swee pic, fun route, but just so you know, if you wrap around the summit to the right side far enough, you find a relatively easy (class 2+) way to the top by just scrambling over some rocks. The farther you go, the easier it gets until you encounter cliffs on the East Face. The cap is small enough to allow time for exploration, so look for the easiest terrain possible
