We just happened to be visiting Banos when Tungurahua started it's biggest series of explosions since it became active in the 1990's. This is a shot out of the bus window as we were driving in to the valley.

Had a friend down there recently, he managed to make the cover of every paper in Ecuador with some of his photos. Just like you guys, right place at the right time.
