St Marys & Heavenly Twins [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
St Marys & Heavenly Twins
To pass the time on a day when the Bitterroot Valley was socked in with an inversion, we climbed what is known locally as the "C Hill", just east of Corvallis, MT. Its summit was just high enough to put us above the inversion layer.

This picture represents how the these mountains could have looked one of the many times the valley was flooded by Glacial Lake Missoua (without the glaciers which we know inhabited the mountains during those times).
