The North-South trending Chilkats merge with the East-West Takhinsha Mountains behind Haines.

Mount Emmerick is one of the most prominent among them.

This peak is on the NE corner of Glacier Bay National Monument, extending from the crestline of this ridge down into the basin to Southwest.
