Black Crater Fire [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Black Crater Fire
From left to right; Middle Sister, North Sister, and the Black Crater Fire of 2006. Taken from the summit of the South Sister, July 28, 2006. After looking at this a few times, I noticed the smoke looks like a creature rising from the fire... a little imagination and you can see a mouth, eye, conehead, and arm w/ bent elbow. I am moving to Sisters this coming weekend, I hope they get that thing under control in the next few days.

Me too! Hopefully conditions will cooperate and they can get it under control. It would be a shame to lose Sisters to a forest fire. Good luck with the move.

Thanks for the compliment! The fire was pretty crazy wasn't it. The pillar of smoke makes the sisters look like hills rather than mountains. I'm just glad it didn't do too much damage. Thanks again.
