First Pitch of the Upper Section [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
First Pitch of the Upper Section
Andy on the first pitch of the north ridge of Spearhead after the scrambling interlude. I ran out all the 70 meters of our rope on this easy pitch, skipping the belay stance at the far left of the picture (old slings visible to the keen eye) because I deemed it uncomfortable. I ended up with an even less comfortable stance... Some climbers belay behind the top of Barb Flake, which is out of the picture to the right (climber's left). In general, there are many options in the upper section of the north ridge.
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. July 2006.

"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."   --Peter Gibbons (Office Space)
