Northeast Face, Mt. Evans [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Northeast Face, Mt. Evans

This is a pretty good take of the northeast face of Mt. Evans (CO) from the road as it winds around the eastern side of the mountain. We hiked from the (barely seen) road in the far right of the image to the summit (off the top-left of the image). This was taken with a 10-mm lense--being about a 1500-foot altitude gain, it is larger than it looks! A couple water droplets can be seen on the image; caused by a rainfall that was just starting. Imaged in August 2006.
