This beautiful butterfly landed on some Phlox on my way up Sentinal. One of the many varieties of life seen in the Olympic Range~August 15,2006~

Awesome shot-- I love photographing butterflies, too. They're so uncooperative that it feels like a mighty accomlishment to get a good shot of one.

Wow, nice shot! This is very similar to my shot of a checkerspot butterfly on Mt. St. Helens.
