Shirley leading the low 5th choss somewhere on the upper NE Ridge of Black Peak. Haydar's belaying. Actually I exaggerate - this part was pretty solid (Aug. 19, 2006).

Voted 10/10 | is one of the least chossiest peaks in that area. You should try Fisher, Graybeard, Paul Bunyan's Stump, or many other peaks over there for truly bad rock! | | Posted Aug 21, 2006 9:39 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yeah - I'm sure the others are even more memorable :)
From the hwy, looks like good rock but the lower half of ridge is pretty chunky. Still great views and nice position make it worthwhile! It's a pretty good looking peak as well. | | Posted Aug 21, 2006 11:07 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Yep. How did you like that descent? What a pile! Can't believe people climb scree fields and call them routes. | | Posted Aug 22, 2006 12:17 am |

Hasn't voted | damn - the descent was pretty sketchy. Esp. there's the final leg when you drop off the south ridge and start heading down to Wing Lk. Scree over slabs - good times!!
Tazz mentioned that they found a better line on that section.
PS waiting for some more Canada photos - no pressure man ;) | | Posted Aug 22, 2006 12:31 am |
