Hasn't voted | this is taken from about halfway up (or down) the scree to the true summit. to get to the lower summit - and thusly descend the peak - i had to climb back up this little wall. you can see (if you look carefully) my footsteps traversing the snow. to avoid this 4th class, you could descend the snow gully about 200 feet and go up 3rd class rock to the lower summit, then down the ridge (or - as i did) glissade down the snow of the northeast face (face that is visible in the overall picture of the mountain). | | Posted Jun 18, 2003 7:25 am |
