Exposed this 4x5 Provia 100F transparencey of Clyde Minaret reflecting in a pond mid morning August 15, 2006 with my 90mm Caltar. The previous morning my tripod sat in this same spot about 90 minutes but frustrating breezes never calmed, while this generally breezier day, I just walked up after a friend of my had given up and suddenly calm appeared so I rapidly set up and nailed this reflection before the breezes quickly resumed. A couple years earlier I'd also been shut out for two days at this spot. Wildflowers about the area were the best I've ever seen here on my ninth backpack over the years to this area. Not exactly lucky, nearby Minaret Lake continues to be stingy against my efforts.
