Note: This route annotation is likely wrong. Read Diggler's improved description below Last 600 feet or so to Black Kaweah's summit on the Southwest Face route. The summit block looks harder than it is. A straightforward (but steep) ramp leads diagonally to the final short chimney. The chimney contains some intimidating 4th class...uh, I mean, "3rd class" moves for your downclimbing pleasure. Note: the red line is only a guide, not an absolute. Choose your own route, at your own risk. In particular, you will probably avoid the steep section in the middle of the photo by climbing a spur on climber's left. Comments [ Post a Comment ]
