Going to the Sun Mountain [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Going to the Sun Mountain
A variation of the Diagonal Route follows a fun scrambling alternative to cliffs due further south of the entrance of the Diagonal Chute. Many variations ranging in difficulty are encountered during the climb of about 150 feet through the cliff band, GMS members descend the cliffs in this picture. This fun scrambling makes up for the loose scree and talus that otherwise covers the mountain. This large group was well qualified for this climb, but even so, much loose rock was dislodged during the climb. Avoid rock fall and keep your group small when climbing GTTS!
