Snow in August? [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Snow in August?
It was a surprise to me when I started the day off with just clouds above me. However, as I got nearer to the top of the ski area, it started to rain and then turned into snow as I neared the summit area as can be noted from the snow on the summit cairn and background trees. Notice the small structure in the background. It most likely housed a repeater for a local rancher but it had fallen into disrepair. I found a auto type battery inside the sructure.

Actually that's not uncommon for this area. It can really get nasty up there.
