From the flat expanse of the Loft, the broad shoulder of the Beaver stretches away from you towards the summit of Long's. Pick your way through the boulders (easy class 2) towards the high point in the photo (which is actually Long's summit). You'll eventually be stopped by the large gap which is the Notch.
