When I was a young boy my parents took me to Germany and we went on a hike to see an old castle and there were some German climbers up on a rock climb about 300ft. up climbing. This was in 1963 so they were every so often banging on pitons. That was the noise that attrackted my attention to them also the belay rope signals they were yelling back and forth. It was that day that started my want to climb or should I say my passion to climb. The seed was planted in Germany and I have not quit climbing since then . I enjoy climbing of all sorts but climbing ice is my passion .Some day soon I would like to go back to Germany where it all started .Please recomend a GOOD LONG ICE CLIMB IN GERMANY .Thank you so much with the pictures you have posted on Summitpost.org
