My friend Bob hiking in the White Mtns
My friend Bob, or 4wheelbob as he goes by, is an inspiration as he recently tried to summit White Mountain Peak again. He didn't make it to the top but he did make it further than he did last time! This is him hiking amongst the clouds in the Patriarch Grove, Inyo National Forest, CA, September 8, 2006

Read more about our trip here.

2007 Update! He made it! Read more here.

On our way down from White Mountain Peak on September 9, we encountered your group on your way up. You said you would be setting up camp some distance up the road. 4wheelbob must be an incredible guy - an inspiration indeed! -Bob

"I am in love with this world. I have nestled lovingly in it. I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings."   --John Burroughs
