 The "boring" side of Mount...
The "boring" side of Mount Thompson. The SW Face of Mount Thompson as seen from Point Powell. Thompson-Powell Col is in between. The chutes of the SW Face route can be seen in the center of the photo, leading up to the gentle backside of the summit plateau. Be sure to take the chute on climber's right (on the other side of the buttress), as the other chute is difficult Class 3 and tops out on the serrated west ridge. Nice view of Mt. Goode and the Palisades on the right.
