This is the Cairn that leads to the trail for Sundog. It is approx. 1.5 miles from the Silver creek/Grizzly gulch trailhead. This is where the South Fork of the Silver Creek joins Silver Creek. A footpath leads South from here into the South Fork Gulch on the East side of the South Fork. At about 200 feet, you must go West, crossing the South Fork, up into the trees to gain the highpoint (ridge). That will lead you directly to Sundog's summit.
