Flight up the Kahiltna Glacier [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Flight up the Kahiltna Glacier
Most flights don't go this way. The cloud level was too low to fly through "One Shot Pass" so Dave, the former owner of TAT flew us up the long Kahiltna Glacier. This gave me immediate appreciation for the craggy range and tortured glacier country I wa about to live in for three plus weeks. I had a knee brace on which cut the circualtion off to my right leg on teh way in. Don't do this. There is not enough room on the planes to adjust anything. Stay loose.
