Alpine scenery from Parker Ridge (Banff N.P.), looking west. Mount Athabasca is the peak on the right. The gentle ridges in the foreground are the extension of Parker Ridge as it rises to join Athabasca.

Quite a contrast ....

... with the situation in spring: this photo.

I even thought some parts were glaciated, but it's all grass and scree apparently!
