I just received "The Bugaboos" climbing guide for a trip next summer. The book itself gives me goosebumps of anticipation, but images like this take me over the top. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Solo as in no rope, or solo as in you set up this shot, set the timer, then went and posed (wouldn't put it past you). In any case this makes me want to be there so bad...as good as it get's

That is pvalchev, I am just climbing ahead of him. We both felt real comfortable soloing this west ridge Scotty....I can't wait to get on the south face routes next time...we were tired from climbing 5.8 with heavy packs up the NE ridge of Bugaboo the day before and cclaude took the day off while Peter and I had to get one more in, thus we were not up for a big day...of course without the packs, we felt like Superman...you just can't get enough done it seems like...cheers

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
