I take it the class 4 travel is on steep snowfields? Is there any crevasse danger in mid-summer?

In mid-summer there's a very limited amount of snow to cross on the ridge. The snow isn't steep, but it's in an exposed location and you have to deal with moats, not crevasses. The fourth class rating refers to the rock ridge itself, which is the most difficult part of the route.
