Little Giant, Dives Basin [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Little Giant, Dives Basin
Aaron Johnson poses above the mouth of a narrow couloir on the south face of the summit of Little Giant Peak. This couloir is used on the Dives Basin Route. The narrow Dives Basin drops quickly to the east. Perhaps that is why it is called Dives Basin! The mighty San Juan Range sports a fresh blanket of snow heralding a quick end to a brief fall season. This view is looking southeast toward the Rio Grande Pyramid on the far left. Some of the Grenadier and Needles sub-ranges are on the far right.
