Keyes Peak, Summit Ridge [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Keyes Peak, Summit Ridge
The summit ridge of Keyes Peak. Interestingly, the mountain is split geologically speaking. The northern half of the mountain is metamorphic rock whereas the southern half is granitoid. The true summit is the northern metamorphic peak shown here. Forsyth Peak appears in the background. Photo taken September 15, 2006.

"To lovers of the wild, these mountains are not a hundred miles away. Their spiritual power and the goodness of the sky make them near, as a circle of friends."   --John Muir
