Saturday, July 12, 2003. This low-res photo was taken from the summit of Mount Evans looking down on Summit Lake. You can see the parking lot clearly from the Summit. The actual Summit Ridge Route initial trail line can be seen just above the lake. It then goes left (referenced to the photo) as it begins the ascent up Mount Spalding’s shoulder, From here it half circles back around through the Spalding-Evans Saddle ending eventually at the summit of Mount Evans.
