Yellow Iris [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Yellow Iris
June 2000-- I spotted this and a few others along Skyline Drive near camp for a trail maintainers' workshop I was attending. I have not seen this flower anywhere else and have always wondered if these were transplanted domestics. It most certainly is not the yellow bearded iris common to this section of the country.

Truly amazing shot! Never knew this kind of Iris existed. They are one of my favorite kinds of flowers!

Thank you! I've only seen that iris in that one spot just one time, but I haven't been there since, either. Spring here brings a great flower display, including many different types of irises.

That's a pretty nice comment coming from someone who's got several that could vie for that title easily. Thanks!
