| South Faces of the Pumari Chhish massif | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
The Pumari Chhish massif as viewed from the east side of the junction between the Hispar and Yutmaru Glacier. The two peaks on the left are Pumari Chhish North (7492m) and Pumari Chhish South (7350m). The southern peak is the one in the foreground. The north summit has only been climbed once, which was in 1979 by a Japanese team via the north ridge from the Upper Yazghil Glacier. The south summit was climbed in 2007 for the first time from the Yutmaru (aka Jutmo) Glacier. In the centre of the photo is Peak c.6850m which is unclimbed as far as I am aware. The peaks lie towards the eastern end of the Hispar Muztagh. Comments |
