Can you see how Hwy 180 is carved right into the rock wall high above the river? Also note the huge gray escarpment of marble. This is the most spectacular part of Kings Canyon, IMHO, and a geology lovers dream! Horseshoe Bend, Sequoia National Forest, CA. October 8, 2006
