The western part of Moarer Weißen (2867m) mirrored in Moarer Egetensee. What you see is neither ice nor snow, it's a marble scree field to be walked across! Sept 23rd 2006

Wow, this is really an amazing eyecatcher. At first sight you are forced to think, it's an unreal snowfield ending in the lake...
Beautiful pic & interesting trip report.

	Hasn't voted	Thanks Alex! The funny thing I didn't really realize until much later is that the reflection is visible in the water though I used a polarisation filter. This should not have happened but maybe the angles were in my favour...
