It's important not to miss this sign just above 1450m on the hike up from the East. It signals a left turn, (to the South) onto the narrow and steeper track, (foreground), up to the Kramerspitz saddle and away from the easier track heading up to the Königstand.

Haha, I remember that sign, then the steep trail after. What a great detailed route page :D

When researching the route I remember someone saying it was easy to miss the sign. Not for either of us I think!

Yes, anything to distract from the painful uphill hiking. If you leave a soggy piece of paper beside the trail with cuneform symbols, I'll see it :D
