View of the couloir leading to the base of the summit block of Static Peak. This is probably the easiest, fastest way to achieve the saddle if you’re comfortable with the snow climb. This photo also gives you an idea of the steepness of the other option for obtaining the saddle—climbing straight up the slope. I found a slightly less steep route, but it was still an arduous climb.
