Pisco moraine [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Pisco moraine
Since this image has proven to be so popular I went back and cleaned it up so it looks better and not like it was stitched together. I never actually meant to take this pano while I was there but going through my photos realized it fit. For those that are thinking about going up Pisco, this is the moraine between the base and moraine camps. The moraine camp is a lot more hospitable than others would let on and I had quite a nice night there before my summit push. I don't know about you, but I'd rather cross this moraine in the light of day rather than at 2am. Leaving at 2am from the moraine camp you can get to the summit at dawn. Yanapaccha is the mountain on the left, Chopicalqui on the right.
