On my way to Maintop Mountain along the Blue Ridge Parkway, I came across a sight I never thought I'd see in Virginia! I plan on going back in January to see if the ice along this stretch of road (mile post 10) is developed and thick enough to do some very amateur ice climbing. 5 November 2006.
