Looking south towards North Dome from the North Dome Trail on October 14, 2001. The trail descends left. For the bushwacking route, don't use the trail but keep on going right (west) until you come to class 2 friction rock slabs. Take these down and then bushwack through trees and manzinita until you get to the northwest slope from where you can climb up to the north slope and join the trail.
