| Panorama Ortler North Face | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
ENLARGE TO SEE DETAILS! On the left is Ortler North Face (longest ice route in the eastern alps) and the rocky summit. On the right is "Tschierfeckwandl", a secured wall on the normal route. You can see climbers up there. I created the writings to hide damaged parts of the picture. SORRY! Nevertheless I think it is a fine shot.

Voted 10/10 | ... I wonder if there are persons in there right part of the photo. What´s the (maybe iron) construction on the crag in the right part of the photo? | | Posted Jan 22, 2007 9:35 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes, below the crack and on top of the ridge are some climbers. It is "Tschierfeckwandl", the crux on the normal route. I´am a few minutes away.

Voted 10/10 | enough has been said about those great trousers. They are almost cooler than the long ice route behind you. :D | | Posted Apr 4, 2007 6:55 am |

Voted 10/10 | Yes, I want to do it too! You'd want to start well before dawn and get half the wall below you before any sun loosens rocks. You couldn't pitch it all out, you'd need to simul-climb. Based on my Wildspitze Nordwand experience, if it is really all "blankeis", then that would be very difficult to do. | | Posted Apr 4, 2007 2:35 pm |

Hasn't voted | The Ortler North Face has good conditions very often. Blank ice isn´t very common there.
