	Voted 10/10	there's plenty of stuff you maybe would like even more then - look here: Landscape artists at natureartists.com they paint realistic. If you find one that you like, just google her/him, and usually it shows up plenty when you click on a painter, then use the link "artwork" and you'll see more of his paintings

I've sat right where that photo was taken from. That place is just awesome and your photo makes it seem out of this world.

I used to have a vertical shot of this scene, showing the curve of the sandstone cliffs below the arch and deep shadows, but I lost both the photo and the negative (long story). Anyway, this is an awesome spot, and such a nice respite from the crowds usually all around the arch.

You were so lucky. I just got back from there. My wife and I started hiking 6:30 a.m. to catch the sunrise, and avoid crowds.
It was 8F, and bone chilling. Hiked fast on icy ledges and got to the arch only to find 11 Japnese tourists in tennis shoes, waiting for the sun to come up. They were nice and got out of the way for me to take about 50 shots, none as beautiful as yours.

	Hasn't voted	Thanks, Marc! You would think that heading out at dawn on a cold winter day would guarantee you the arch alone, but I guess not. That's crazy! You are right that I lucked out; when I got to the arch that day, there was the typical crowd around it. Somehow, though, they all left after a bit and I had this amazing window of solitude before the next wave arrived. It allowed me several shots of the arch from unusual perspectives. Unfortunately, I no longer have the negative or a print of my favorite shot-- a vertical from a similar perspective as this one but showing a deep, shadowed canyon below the arch. I've been to the arch 3 times, I think. It's always got a crowd, but it's also always an amazing sight. Cheers, Bob P.S.
