Looks like there has been a glacier at the right comparatively recently.

Thanks for the vote and the question. You seem to be right. In fact, just to the right of the photo's area and a little higher, there is a very large permanent snowfield (how these mountains get their names) that may have been a true glacier many thousands of years ago in colder times.
