Long Canyon Old Growth [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Long Canyon Old Growth
Old growth western redcedar from Long Canyon in Idaho's Selkirk Mountains. Primitive Long Canyon is the last large unroaded drainage in the Idaho panhandle. The large-leaved plant is devil's club, which has lethal spines on the stems. The cedar and devils club plant association represents the wettest forest habitat in the northern Rocky Mountains.
