| Window Route | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Looking down from midway up P3 (bolt ladder mostly) on Window Route. Shirley is at a hanging belay. This is looking along a slit that penetrates the tower on its upper third - view on left is down the west face of tower while view above on right is down the east face. One of the most memorable pitches in the desert to date (Nov. 19, 2006).

Hasn't voted | Chief,
If I remember right, there were some DA's left, some manky old bolts and a few newer bolts...my memory is fading fast though :)
Great route I thought - the position on this pitch is very unique!! | | Posted Sep 12, 2007 1:54 pm |

looking at my route notes, seems as though DA's still make up the belay set up atop P2. | | Posted Sep 12, 2007 2:08 pm |

Hasn't voted | There is a lot of work that needs to be done out there. Someday I may dedicate an entire Spring to cleaning up the Classics in that entire area as we did in Day & Long Cnyns, Kane Creek and in Arches. | | Posted Sep 12, 2007 2:11 pm |

Hasn't voted | that would be a noble effort as much stuff there is quite marginal indeed (manky bolt ladders are kind of fun but manky belays are something else)! If you do decide to do this Chief, let me know I'd be happy to pitch in (at least some hardware).
River Tower bolt ladder :) :

HEE HEE HEE!
That is very a common on scenario on many of the lesser traveled longer aid routes in that area. Fixed as many as I could when I got on them. | | Posted Sep 12, 2007 2:43 pm |
