Teton Alpenglow [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Teton Alpenglow
Brilliant sunset alpenglow light on Mount Owen, 12,928 feet, and the Grand Teton, 13,770 feet, as seen from Cascade Creek to the northwest - July. The weather the entire day was overcast and drizzling, but I set up my camera anyways before sunset time. I thought I started seeing hints of a warmer reddish light on the peak but friend thought I was crazy... but a few minutes later the peaks lit up with some of the most amazing light I've witnessed. OlympicMtnBoyFalling in love

Right away, without any doubts, I can say that this should be the photo of the week. Utterly speechless on this one, except that I'd just love to lay on the rock in the creek and continue saying "wow, wow, WOW!" until my mouth went dry.

What a beautiful picture. This is the place I've called home for the last 2 summers; your photo brings back some amazing memories. Excellent work at capturing the mountains' beauty. How I miss the Tetons!
