| Bowl of Tears with point 13,373 in the upper right (August 9, 2003). You can tell from the surface of the lake that it was deathly still. It was almost eerie. There wasn't a breath of breeze and not a single sound -- no birds chirping, no lapping of the water on the shore, no wind, no vegetation stirring, no people, no animals -- nothing. Hasn't voted | Thanks. The whole area was pretty cool and for me it was as much of a goal to reach Bowl of Tears as it was to summit Mount of the Holy Cross. When I was at Bowl of Tears everything was deathly still. It was almost eerie.
