A rib of rock to the right... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
A rib of rock to the right...
A rib of rock to the right served as a good solid route to a narrow snow filled couloir (barely visible) above. Highly preferable to the loose rock in the foreground, which covers most of El Diente's south slopes. Above the couloir is some steep but brief Class 4 terrain that places you near the top of the ridge and on the traverse route to the summit, with still lots of climbing and scrambling to go. Summer, 2003.
