Do you know more about what happened? Is there a lesson to be learned?

I'm afraid so! The two was together with my wife an me the evening before at the Britannia Hut. They was a little bit elder than we (± 60). They told us, that they would surrender a rope protection for fear of fall of the whole roped party.
Then they walked and climbed well in a distance from about 500m behind us until the rock barrier under the summit.
There they had suddenly difficulties. We offered them rope protection but they refused. About 15 minutes later we heard stonefall - and then we saw the wife falling into the deepness. We took care of the husband until the helicopter got him.
It was a awful experience!
Excuse my poor English, I hope you can understand the story...

Ciao Michael

Michael,

Thank you for your explanation. I hope you don't have to experience this again.
