Yellow-throat Monkey-flower (Mimulus bigelovii)
Yellow-throat monkey-flower is found in the desert southwest including California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah where it is rare. Look for it in sand soils in the spring, especially after heavy spring rains. Photo is from near Willow Beach, Arizona. March 2005
