Traversing to N Ridge, Forbidden Peak [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Traversing to N Ridge, Forbidden Peak

Traversing the Boston glacier from Sharkfin Col to the N Ridge of Forbidden. The snow of the glacier appears to cross the ridge just below the left end of that long snowfield on top of the ridge at right. We couldn't bring ourselves to walk that far away from the summit when we could see a likely shortcut further left. Dumb move: we spent two pitches on easy but exposed, rubble-laden ledges when we could have been marching up the crest from that snow crossing.
