Voted 10/10 | There is still very little snow in Tatras but as I suppose it was horribly icy, wasn't it?
How did the conditions on the steep rocky section of the threshold(with chains) and high up there in the couloir look like?

Hasn't voted | I think the snow is good for climbing yet. It is very solid sometimes icy but crampons work very well on this surface . So it was a really happy-climbing that weekend I suggest you should try it before there is no serious snowing.
After that it will be dangerous for a while becuase snow cannot stay on the top of the current snow-surface. So I expect big avalanche-danger after a bigger snowing.
The chain part is OK. My girlfriend and my brother tried it and they said it was absolutelly OK. There is also a chain route under the Baranie Sedlo but it was more snowy and the chain was under snow many places so it is useless at this moment.
