| Tent in the Yosemite Backcountry | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |
Our tent was fairly lightweight, using ski poles to erect. Our trip leader had sewed it together himself, special for these trips. This was our second night's camp, up a low ridge south of Return Creek and going into Cold Canyon, whci leads directly to Glen Aulin. We had plenty of time to do things, including gathering wood for our fire, and get water from a nearby creek. My own tent weights eight pounds with poles and stakes, but might be a bit less roomier. It is quite a squeeze for the three of us to get in, but to save weight! April 9, 1979 Comments |
