Red Columbine (Aquilegia formosa)
Red columbine grows in moist forests and meadows from valley bottoms to mid elevations and occasionally higher. It occurs from Alaska to southern California and east to Alberta, Montana and Utah. This photo taken in the Clearwater Mountains, north of Elk River, Idaho.
